Oh, being awake this early on my morning off sucks!!!! But oh well. I'm awake now.

I watched Let the Right One In yesterday. An urban Swedish vamp flick. A pretty damn good one, if I do say so myself. Not a typical story either.

Oskar, a bullied 12-year old, dreams of getting revenge against the boy who is picking on him. One day, he meets a peculiar girl named Eli. Eli is also 12 years old--and has been for quite awhile.

Through their friendship, Oskar finds the strength to stand up to the class bully and his gang. But when he realizes what Eli is and what she needs to do to survive, he's faced with a choice. Fleeing to survive has been Eli's way for so long, she finds herself faced with a choice of her own.

I watched it is Swedish with subtitles. Can't even tell you how the dubbed version is. I'm just not a fan of dubbed.

This image reminds me of Eli--only without the piercings and kickass tat.
